Job Purpose
|
The department of Accounting at the University of Sharjah invites applicants for full-time faculty positions, starting Fall 2019-2020.
Outstanding candidates from all research areas in Accounting will be considered.
The successful candidates will be expected to teach effectively in both undergraduate and graduate programs. They will also be expected to supervise graduate and undergraduate students. The successful candidates are expected to engage in other educational scholarly and professional activities, liaise with industry, and undertake research in their areas of interest.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
Teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Lead active research and supervise graduate and undergraduate student projects/theses. Contribute to program development. Engage in Community service, including serving the profession. Contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs accreditation.

Desirable Requirements
|
-Minimum qualification includes a Ph. D. in Accounting or in a closely related field with graduate education record combining course work and research from a reputable and accredited institution by the UAE Ministry of higher education.
-Holding of professional qualifications (such as ACCA, CIMA and CPA Australia), being bilingual, and
having PhD from a Western university are highly preferable.
