Job Purpose

  • Fulfilling teaching position at the Graphic Design and Multimedia Program that is required to; first, replace a faculty who left last year; and second, to cover the extra teaching workload that appear due to the increase in students' numbers.
Main accountabilities & expectations
  • Contribute to teaching, curriculum development and delivery of the Graphic Design curriculum across the College.
  • Contribute to the preparation of accreditation documents and applications.
  • The appropriate candidate should have strong enthusiasm for research and publications.
  • Participate actively in service to the College, University, and outreach to the community.

Job Specific Accountabilities
  • A proven record of excellence at academic-level teaching; and ideally experience in the creative design sector, Graphics or Digital Media.
  • A proven experience in teaching studio-based courses that are highly specialized in Graphic Design such as, but not limited to: branding and identity design, advertising, packaging design, and typography etc.
  • An experience in academic quality assurance, institutional effectiveness and accreditation.
  • Commitment to a sustained pace of scholarship and/or creative activities.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching related programs at Higher Education level.
Required Skills
  • A record of experience or industry certification in the following software: Adobe Creative Suite, (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate) and Final Cut Pro.
  • A record of experience in Graphic Design practice.
Preferred Qualification & Experience

MFA / MA with emphasis in Graphic Design and / or Digital design or equivalent from an accredited institution at the time of appointment.
