Job Purpose

Replacement of the existing job

Main accountabilities & expectations
  1. Participation in didactic, computational, and laboratory teaching activities covering pharmacy practice, clinical pharmacy, social and administrative pharmacy, and related courses within the UoS College of Pharmacy curriculum as determined by the Department Chair for current undergraduate students and future expected postgraduate students that will enrol in pharmD or any master/PhD programs
  2. Perform and grade all types of exams, perform exam analysis and write assessment reports.
  3. Provide mentorship and advisement for students in the College of Pharmacy.
  4. Communicate teaching and research activities through frequent and effective communication with the Department Chair.
  5. Conduct research in the pharmacy practice/clinical pharmacy and engage in team-based research in the area of pharmacy practice.
  6. Procure and/or maintain an externally funded research program in pharmacy practice/clinical pharmacy or areas related to the discipline of pharmacy.
  7. Publish scientific findings in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and present research at national and international meetings.
  8. Be involved in curriculum development and quality assurance activities related to the department and the college.
  9. Actively participate in committees within the department, college, University and in professional and governmental organizations.
  10. Carry out any other tasks related to the Course/ Department/College/University assigned to him/her by the head of department or the dean of the college.

Job Specific Accountabilities
  1. Teaching of courses related to pharmacy practice/clinical pharmacy/social and administrative pharmacy.
  2. Supervising student graduation projects
  3. Community services
  4. Researches that will serve our community
Required Skills

Preferred Qualification & Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  2. PhD in Pharmacy Practice/Clinical Pharmacy
  3. Demonstrated track record of presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications in pharmacy practice/clinical pharmacy and social and administrative pharmacy.
