Technician - Equipment Maintenance

Job Purpose

Maintain wide range of Laboratory equipment. Support the Engineering team to follow up specific tasks.

Main accountabilities & expectations

    • Check, repair and change consumables for the service requested equipment.
    • Organize and perform scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance.
    • Follow up with suppliers for maintenance on call bases.
    • Identify appropriate levels of consumable materials and spare parts; order, inventory and control materials as necessary.
    • Follow up the maintenance contracts and liaise with the technician in charge.
    • Organize pre-installation operations (when required)
    • Check the item list when receiving the new equipment
    • Attend installation, commissioning and training for the new equipment
    • Keep updating the inventory software (regarding maintenance, safety and warranty)
    • Follow up the service request forms from the concerned colleges.

Preferred Qualification & Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years related experience in equipment maintenance preferably in educational institutions.
    • Proficient use of workshop tools/laboratory equipment.
    • Skills in using a variety of hand and machine tools.
    •  Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
    • BSc or High Diploma in Instrumentation /Electronics/Biomedical or Electrical Engineering.

    • Strong computer & organizing skills.

      Experience in lab equipment maintenance
