Job Purpose
|
The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) has an opening
for a full-time Post-Doctoral Fellow position in Artificial Intelligence. We
are looking for a candidate to perform research in the area of machine learning
with a goal to develop new techniques, analyze and develop novel large-scale interdisciplinary
research projects spanning several research areas from natural language processing
& text mining, big data, computer vision, and robotics.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Conduct independent research and development of interdisciplinary projects using machine learning tools.
- Develop software to evaluate novel computational techniques/systems.
- Participate in the establishment of future research directions and contribute to group grant proposals.
- Document research by publishing papers in peer-reviewed media and presenting papers.
- supervising junior researchers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Desirable Requirements
|
- Experience in building large-scale machine learning systems.
- Experience with Unix/Linux platforms and GPU-based implementations.
- Experience with underlying Machine Learning techniques, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision algorithm development.
- Experience in using Big Data tools.
- Experience in state-of-the-art machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
- Excellent communication, design and analytical skills.
- Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
