Assistant/Associate Professor in Accounting

Job Purpose

  • The successful candidate will be expected to teach effectively in undergraduate and postgraduate (MBA/EMBA/DBA) programs.
  • The successful candidate is expected to engage in other educational scholarly and professional activities, liaise with industry.


Main accountabilities & expectations

  1. The successful candidate should able to teach courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in managerial accounting and other related fields with excellent research records.
  2. Contribute to program development.
  3. Engage in community service, including serving the profession.
  4. Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate program accreditation.


Job Specific Accountabilities
  • Contribute to accounting program development.
  • Capability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in managerial accounting and other related fields i.e. auditing, taxation as required.
  • Preferred experience in Western universities.
  • Working knowledge of relevant program accreditation systems.
  • Conduct outstanding research activities.
  • Effectively supervise students' research at postgraduate level (MBA/EMBA/DBA).
Required Skills
Being bilingual, (Arabic/English) is preferable.
Preferred Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum qualification includes PhD in accounting or in a closely related field from a reputable and accredited institution by the UAE Ministry of higher education.
  • Holding a professional qualification (such as ACCA, CIMA and ACA).
  • PhD from a western university is preferable.
