We seek a candidate with a basic degree in Geology or Earth Sciences, and has a broad teaching and research experience in Remote Sensing and GIS applied to Earth Science, Geological Remote Sensing, Land Use/Land Cover Change, Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Sciences; The successful candidate should combine independence; ambition and team work in the front line of teaching and research fields with a strong focus on innovation in both academic and applied research, in close collaboration with international academic and institutional partners.
The candidate is expected to:
· Teach undergraduate and graduate students in Geology, Remote Sensing, GIS and spatial/data technologies and their application to earth systems and problems.
· Contribute to the development of new courses/programs.
· Supervise Master-students, PhD students and Postdoctoral fellows.
· Conduct scientific research that serve the community and contribute to current trends.
Develop ambitious interdisciplinary research projects.
