Job Purpose
|
Responsible for assisting in developing, advancing, and communicating
the Strategic plans of the University of Sharjah. Predominantly responsible for
supporting the coordination and validation of institutional performance
management system, to include, supporting the auditing/validating/definition/calculation/benchmarking
of key performance indicator results, supporting the training and
administration of the centralized performance management system, supporting the
development of KPI and strategic initiative performance result reports.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
Identify new data sources and develop new and / or improved processes for data acquisition and analysis to inform strategic business decisions.
Utilize performance management reporting software to integrate data from various sources, cleansing and transforming it into layers for analytic use.
Support the development and maintenance of a compendium (KPI glossary) and corporate lexicon that documents data lineage, technical processes, and business rules.
Be a strategic information resource to help users understand the different performance results available and assist stakeholders in analyzing and drawing sound conclusions from often conflicting or incomplete information.
Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement analytic solutions that inform and guide strategic business decisions.

Job Specific Accountabilities
|
The role will include coordination of meetings related to the areas listed above, developing reports from the performance management system related to the areas listed above.
The role will provide a range of performance reports for leadership, senior management, and key stakeholders. Measuring progress towards institutional objectives and strategic goals.
This individual will also be responsible for supporting the auditing and validation of quality key performance indicator results.

Preferred Qualification & Experience
|
- Ideally a bachelor's and / or advanced degree in Data Architecture, Information Management/technology, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in database design, data acquisition, data transformation and analytics ideally within a higher education environment.
- Strong knowledge of database systems and data mining with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data sources
- Advanced SQL and Excel capabilities
- Facility with data visualization tools (e.g., Cascade, KPI Fire, ESM+Strategy, Spider Impact, Tableau, MS Power BI)
