​Lecturer at the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences is sought to teach laboratory sections in biology, histology, biochemistry and related topics. Also, when need arises teaches introductory first year courses such as biology.

The candidate will teach laboratory sections in histology, biochemistry and related topics and will participate in teaching general courses. The main duties of the candidate are as follows:

Develop, update and teach lab sessions in medical lab sciences with special emphasis on biology, histology, biochemistry and related topics

Teach introductory courses such as biology and anatomy & physiology, whenever there is need.

Mentor and supervise undergraduate students during their research project

Contribute to administrative tasks at the department, college and university levels as required by his/her superiors.

• The candidate should have a BSc and MSc in medical lab sciences or a closely related field.
• Significant teaching and laboratory experience in Biology/Biochemistry/Histotechniques and Clinical Chemistry.
• Professional certification/license provided by international recognized organizations in the above-mentioned are will be a plus (e.g. ASCP)
• Previous clinical lab experience is a plus.
• Fluency in English at the general and professional levels is essential

• Comprehensive practical experience in basic and diagnostic biochemistry/clinical chemistry histology/histotechniques in addition to other lab disciplines.
• Well acquainted with recent developments in the clinical and practical aspects of the above lab related procedures.
• Excellent professional office skills (e.g. Word, PPT) and Computer literacy.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills and proficiency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage class sessions with students from diverse backgrounds
