Team Leader of Yearly Registration System Unit

Job Purpose

To supervise the daily operations and processes in the Yearly Registration System Unit in order to support and enhance the student's registration process at the University of Sharjah. As well as manage, develop and motivate the Yearly Registration System Unit's team members.

Main accountabilities & expectations

  1. Manage all administrative and operational registration activities related to the yearly based programs, ensuring that they comply with the registration department procedures and UOS bylaws.
  2. Verify students' final grades, CGPA calculations and academic standings, as well as handle grade changes and release final grades to students.
  3. Review and verify completed graduation requirements, official transcripts and graduation certificates for "expected to graduate" students, as well as prepare the lists of confirmed students eligible for graduation.
  4. Communicate with the Study Planning and Scheduling section to ensure the availability of required courses/sections for freshmen, sophomore, senior, and expected to graduate students, and ensure that the final course schedules are available on the registration system each semester/academic year.
  5. Review lists of students under academic probation and students who are subject to expulsion, and ensure that their decisions are processed in accordance to UoS's by-laws.
  6. Provide assistance and support to students, faculty and staff members by providing and explaining any information related to course registration.
  7. Monitor day-to-day activities at the Yearly Registration System Unit and ensure that daily activities are executed correctly and efficiently. As well as ensure that job tasks are distributed between team members fairly and professionally.
  8. Manage, develop and motivate the Yearly Registration System team in order to build and develop their organizational capabilities, provide them with development opportunities such as training, coaching, etc., as well as report on their performance.
  9. Maintain constant communication with students in order to keep them updated regarding any new requirements, changes in the bylaws, or any other documents related to their academic status.
  10. Ensure the reliability, accuracy, and privacy of all student's academic records, in addition to prepare student lists, reports, and statistics when requested by line manager or director.

Preferred Qualification & Experience
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS, IT or a relevant discipline.
  • 10-12 years of UAE experience in similar role preferably in higher education institutions.

    Priority is to UAE Nationals.
