Job Purpose
|
Lecturer at the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences is sought to teach laboratory sections in
Immunology and Serology, Diagnostic Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Clinical Parasitology,
Hematology and Coagulation, Phlebotomy and Blood Banking.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
The candidate will teach laboratory sections in Immunology and Serology, Diagnostic Microbiology,
Medical Microbiology, Clinical Parasitology, Hematology and Coagulation, Phlebotomy, Blood
Banking and will participate in lecturing the general courses when needed.
The main duties of the candidate are as follows:
• Develop, update and teach lab sessions in Medical Laboratory Sciences with special emphasis on
Immunology and Serology, Diagnostic Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Clinical Parasitology,
Hematology and Coagulation, Phlebotomy, Blood Banking.
• Mentor and supervise undergraduate students during their research project
• Contribute to administrative tasks at the department, college, and university levels as required by
his/her superiors.

Desirable Requirements
|
The candidate should have a BSc and MSc in medical lab sciences or a closely related field.
• Significant teaching and laboratory experience in Immunology and Serology, Diagnostic
Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Clinical Parasitology, Hematology and Coagulation,
Phlebotomy, Blood Banking Professional certification/license provided by international
recognized organizations in the above-mentioned fields will be a plus (e.g. ASCP)
• Previous clinical lab experience is a plus
• Fluency in English at the general and professional levels is essential
