Job Purpose
|
The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) is seeking to hire a research assistant. The researcher will work within the Center for Advanced Materials Research (CAMR) and will assist its members with research projects involving modeling and simulation of materials. The assitant shall be responsible for the following.
- Learn how to use different packages used for simulation or modeling of materials.
- Install software.
- Write and debug scripts.
- Submit jobs to HPC clusters.
- Publish research results and present them in conferences and meetings.

Main accountabilities & expectations

- Learn how to use different packages used for simulation or modeling of materials.

- Submit jobs to HPC clusters.
- Publish research results and present them in conferences and meetings.
- Follow all university policies and regulations for safe working procedures.
- Perform other relevant duties as requested by the director of CAMR.

Required Skills

Desirable Requirements
|
- BSc or MSc in physics, chemistry, material science, or related areas.
- Journal publications is a plus.
- Experience in Python and other programming languages.
- Basic knowledge in Linux.
