Job Purpose
|
The college of medicine and Sharjah Institute for medical Research (SIMR) are seeking to hire highly motivated faculty at the rank of Assistant /Associate Professor Level and in the area of genetics preferably with expertise in gene editing. The candidate should have excellent publication record in reputable journal and more than five years' hands-on-experience in the field. Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- The candidate will spend 50% of his/her time conducting research in Sharjah Institute for Medical Research and 50% of his/her will be teaching courses in the college of Medicine.
- Maintain an independent competitive research program.
- Supervise postdocs, graduate students and technical personnel in research projects on gene editing, genetics and pathogenesis diseases and in particular cancer.
- Apply for external funding - both national and international.
- Teach courses in his/her field of expertise to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Desirable Requirements
|
Applicants must have a Ph.D. from a recognized
university or related field. The candidate should have a successful
postdoctoral training experience with a record of research excellence A strong
track record of peer- reviewed publications and evidence of skills for teaching
is required
