Job Purpose
|
The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) is seeking to
hire a technical lab supervisor for the Energy Storage Lab. The candidate should
have an engineering background and ability to help start a research laboratory
from scratch. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying
equipment/materials needs, contacting suppliers, assessing technical
specifications, writing reports, running experiments, assisting professors and
researchers on projects as well as maintaining the laboratory in a running
orders

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
i. Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and operate research equipment
ii. Prepare experimental setups and run experiments
iii. Generate reports and comment on the results
iv. Be involved in research and development efforts at the lab
v. Follow all University policies regulations for safe working procedures
|
|
Required Skills
|

|
Desirable Requirements
|
- BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience with lab equipment installation, maintenance and running
- 5-10 years industrial experience
- Must have strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures
- Must be willing to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Must be willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
