Job Purpose
|
The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) is seeking to
hire a lab engineer /supervisor for a newly established Environmental and Water
Treatment lab. The candidate should have an appropriate scientific background and
technical experience with the ability to help start a research laboratory from
scratch. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying
equipment/materials needs, contacting suppliers, assessing technical
specifications, assisting professors and researchers on projects, running
experiments, writing reports, as well as maintaining a clean and safe lab
environment.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and operate research equipment
- Prepare experimental setups and run experiments
- Generate reports and comment on the results
- Be involved in research and development efforts at the lab
- Follow all University policies regulations for safe working procedures

Required Skills
|

|
Desirable Requirements
|

MSc in Environmental Engineering, Science, or related fields

Experience with lab equipment installation, maintenance and operation

Experience with conducting laboratory experiments and environmental analysis
- Experience in analysis of experimental results, preparation of reports and publications
