Professor of Arabic Modern Literature and its Criticism or in Comparative Literature (with a focus on Arabic)
We are seeking an outstanding scholar in Arabic Modern Literature and its Criticism or in Comparative Literature (with a focus on Arabic).
The candidate must have a PhD from a recognized international university, and is research-active through peer-refereed publications, and has extensive experience in university teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including the supervision of MA theses and PhD dissertations.
The candidate is expected to efficiently teach the core undergraduate and graduate courses in their areas of expertise, in addition to other courses as required by the department, besides supervising MA and PhD research. The candidate is also required to build local, regional, and international networks with academic scholars and institutions for partnerships and collaborations in teaching, research, and service.
