Job Purpose
|
Lecturer at the Department
of Medical Laboratory Sciences is sought to conduct laboratory sessions
pertaining to Clinical Chemistry, Basic
Biochemistry, Phlebotomy, and the general courses (Biology Lab and Human
Anatomy and Physiology Lab).

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
The candidate will participate in teaching laboratory sessions of Clinical Chemistry, Basic Biochemistry, Phlebotomy, and the general courses (Biology Lab and Human Anatomy and Physiology Lab) and supervising graduation projects.
The main duties of the candidate are as follows:
- Develop, update and teach lab sessions with special emphasis on the above-mentioned courses of the department.
- Mentor and supervise undergraduate students during their research projects.
- Contribute to administrative tasks at the department, college, and university levels as required by his/her superiors.

Desirable Requirements
|
- The candidate should have a BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a closely related field and an MSc in the field of specialty.
- Significant previous teaching and clinical laboratory experience.
- Professional certification/license obtained from internationally recognized organizations in MLS fields is a plus (e.g. ASCP).
- Two years of experience after the MSc degree.
- Previous clinical lab experience is a plus.
- Fluency in English at general and professional levels is essential.
