Job Purpose
|
This position is central to the delivery of Undergraduate
and Master programs within the Department of Nursing, particularly in the area
of Critical Care Nursing. The individual appointed will join a team of
teacher/researchers and provide both width and depth to the team, through
teaching excellence and research ability. The individual will be expected to be
working with liberal educational methods, including laboratory simulation and
have well developed organizational skills. The Department is within the College
of Health Sciences and inter-professional activities in both teaching and
research should be areas that the candidate has experience of and is motivated
to develop.

Main accountabilities & expectations

Teaching at the Baccalaureate and Master levels

Leadership in teaching at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels in theory aspects and practice of Critical Care Nursing

Curriculum refinement and evaluation

Student advising

Research, contributing to the Department's growing portfolio of grants and publications

Community engagement participation

Required Skills

Desirable Requirements
|
-
Specialty qualification (PhD degree) in Critical Care Nursing from an accredited institution.
-
A minimum of 5 years post-doctoral teaching experiences in Critical Care Nursing in academic settings.
-
Eligible for UAE professional nurse licensure.
-
Demonstrate current scholarly activity and a track record of research publication.
-
Experience in Simulation Instruction.
