Job Purpose

Plan and provide medical nursing care to patients as well as prepare treatment room, patient, instruments and materials in compliance with the medical practices.

Main accountabilities & expectations
  1. Provide medical services to patients, assess their condition and implement patient care plans.
  2. Measure patient's Blood Pressure, weight and blood sugar. As well as administer intravenous fluids and medications.
  3. Assist the Physicians during treatment by passing relevant instruments, equipment and materials. As well as assist with special tests and procedures and ensure proper consent has been obtained.
  4. Ensure that patient information and results are entered in the patient's records accurately.
  5. Monitor and administer medication and intravenous infusions.
  6. Ensure that all counters, chairs, monitors, and working spaces in the clinic are wiped and cleaned and highly disinfectant.
  7. Monitor the collection and disposal of sharp and amalgam waste in the lab.
  8. Ensure that monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly.
  9. Report any damages or malfunctions of equipment and phantom units in the labs to the line manager.
  10. Manage the inventory of medical materials and instruments, and request medical instruments and other required medical supplies and materials.
  11. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all MOHAP's health information privacy laws.
  12. Adhere to the implementation of infection control, health, and safety protocols best practices.
  13. Ensure that Health and Safety standards are implemented at all times, as well as respond to emergency situations.

Preferred Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant Nursing degree.
  • Valid MOH Licence.
  • 2-4 years of UAE experience in similar role preferably in higher education institutions.
  • Priority is to UAE Nationals.
