​The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) is seeking to hire full time research assistant (RA) in the area of water desalination and water treatment processing, material development for water treatment and desalination, hands on experience in ceramic membrane fabrication and applications for water treatment and water management. The RA is expected to carry out various research and technical activities set by the water desalination research group, for example, review of literature, data collection, data entry, and data analysis, manage and respond to project-related emails, prepare and attend project meetings, and monitor the project budget. The applicant is expected to be able to mobilize across research sites, including desalination plants across UAE. 

• Follow all University policies regulations for safe working procedures
• Experience in running RO water desalination and Water treatment plants
• Experience in ceramic membrane fabrications and characterizations and it is applications in water treatment
• Research experience in materials fabrications ,characterization and it is applications in water treatment and desalination
• Investigate the influence of different additives on the performance of ceramic membranes.
• Studying the potential removal of contaminated ions by modified ultrafiltration membranes.
• Examining the removal of salt ions from groundwater by the newly manufactured membranes.
• Help with preparing materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations
• Assist in the design, execution, and evaluation of research projects.
• excellent writing, communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail skills
• Ability to design and implement of mechanical systems related to various types of wastewater treatment and water desalination.
• Handle and protect confidential and sensitive research-related water desalination data with integrity
  

• Master's degree in Water Treatment and Management fields from a reputable university
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience dealing with Water Treatment and Desalination flow loops, All types of membranes, and instrumentation.
• Must have strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures
• Must be willing to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Must be willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
