The Information and Network Security Research Group (INSRG) at the Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) at the University of Sharjah is looking for Full-Time Research Assistants (RAs). Full-time RAs are expected to hold Master or bachelor's degree with high CGPA from a reputable university. Applicants should have a solid background in Computer Science/Engineering.  The RAs will be working as a Full-Time researcher in one of the following research fields in the INSRG:

• Cloud security (information retrieval and information security), or
• Network Security, or
• Steganography, or
• Digital Forensics

• Writing programs in one of the research fields above also testing and running experiments.
• Help in doing cutting-edge research and in searching for new technologies, ideas, and tools in the literatures in one of the research fields above.
• Help in investigating/discovering/formulating security research problems/topics/gaps in one of the research fields above.
• Help in proposing/designing defense/prevention/mitigation mechanisms/techniques to address the security problems in one of the research fields above.
• Designing and implementing simulation programs/software and proof-of-concept system implementation to evaluate the proposed algorithms and schemes related to INSRG research areas.
• Writing technical reports and research papers on relevant research topics.
• Perform other duties related to the nature of his/her job as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
  

• Excellent programming skills (Python, C++, or JAVA, etc.)
• Prior scholarly publications and research experience is a plus.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.

• Master (preferred) or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related fields.
• Hard-worker and self-motivated and can work independently as well as within a team.
