Job Purpose
|
To conduct teaching and art scholarship in Printmaking,
Photography, or Sculpture – Instruction is in English.
The
College of Fine Arts and Design seeks a qualified candidate (Full time or Visiting contract) to teach full time courses
in Printmaking, Sculpture, Photography studios beginning September 2025.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Ability to teach basic and advanced drawing, photography and sculpture studios, or History, Theory & Criticism with a focus on non-western narratives.
- Strong research and publication or art scholarship.
- Contribution to Fundamentals of Design and Drawing studios.
- Academically advise undergraduate students.
- Engage in Program/Department and College assignments, activities, and events.
- Participate in relevant professional activities to improve teaching and subject matter competence.
- Serve on faculty committees as appointed or elected.
- Lead efforts toward community engagement and other activities as assigned by the Department Chair or College Dean.

Required Skills
|
Applicants holding PhD/MFA degree with established record of academic performance and scholarly activities. Preference given to candidates demonstrating:
- Effective teaching skills and professional experience.
- Solid experience in teaching and learning media & technology.
- Ability to teach art and design survey courses or printmaking studios.
- Good record in research and/or artistic scholarly activities.
- At least 5 years full time teaching experience in higher education institutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English).
- Strong interpersonal skills towards effective professor-student interactions, both one-on-one (student interaction) and in group (classroom) sessions.
- Sincere interest in assisting each student within a diverse and multi-cultural community to maximize their academic, spiritual and personal potential.
- Team player that is motivated to strengthen and advance the department.
