1. Maintain constant communication with various departments, colleges, and centers at UoS in order to stay up to date on any current and upcoming activities such as cultural or academic events, scientific conferences, research activities, etc. ensuring that they receive the proper coverage.
2. Prepare and conduct interviews with students, faculty members, and other UoS community members to report on their special achievements and projects in the university’s in-house Academy Magazine or foreign publications.
3. Edit and proofread any written pieces/articles submitted for publication and verify information through interviews, observation, and research to ensure the accuracy of the used facts, sources, grammar, and brand consistency. As well as report any inaccuracies or concerns to the Team Leader to take corrective action.
4. Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of the used digital channels/activities and provide feedback to the concerned stakeholders regarding the effectiveness of these channels and future improvement plans.
5. Assist faculty members in training students and providing them with technical and practical expertise in media writing and communication techniques.
6. Maximize national and international customer engagement with the published content related to UoS, by optimizing content for search engines and social media platforms to increase visibility and reach.
7. Collaborate with international news organizations and foreign journalists to strategically enhance the university’s recognition and establish strong channels of communication between UoS and foreign media.
8. Develop creative ideas, suggest new innovative ways of delivering digital news content, and keep up-to-date with the latest digital media innovations and emerging trends.
