Job Purpose

The Department of Public Policy, in the College of Public Policy, seeks qualified candidates to teach full time courses in the Master of Arts in Public Policy commencing in Fall Semester 2025/2026.​

Main accountabilities & expectations

  • Ability to develop and teach Master's courses on one or a combination of the following areas: 'Macro and Micro Economics', 'Policy Analysis and Data Analytics', and 'Ethics, Law in Public Policy', 'Anti-Money Laundering Policy', 'Financial Intelligence Policy', as well as on other sub-fields of Public Policy as required.
  • Strong research acumen and output.
  • Academically advise graduate students.
  • Supervise post-graduate theses.
  • Engage in Program/Department and College assignments, activities, and events.
  • Participate in relevant professional activities to improve teaching and subject matter competence.
  • Serve on faculty committees as appointed or elected.
  • ​Lead efforts toward community engagement and other activities as assigned by the Department Chair or College Dean. ​

Required Skills

Applicants holding a PhD degree in a relevant field with an established record of academic performance and scholarly activities. Preference given to candidates demonstrating:

  • Effective teaching skills and professional/industry experience.
  • Ability to teach graduate level Public Policy courses.
  • Proficient record in research and scholarly activities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English).
  • Strong interpersonal skills towards effective professor-student interactions, both one-on-one (student interaction) and in group (classroom) sessions.
  • Sincere interest in assisting each student within a diverse and multi-cultural community to maximize their academic, spiritual and personal potential.
  • Team player that is motivated to strengthen and advance the department. ​
