Job Purpose
|
The Department of Mathematics, College of Sciences at the University of Sharjah seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in Mathematics with demonstrated expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), to join in Spring Semester of the academic year 2025/2026.
The ideal candidate will actively contribute to academic excellence, research innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration within and/or outside the department.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
Main responsibilities include teaching, research and community service. The candidate is expected to :
- Teach undergraduate and graduate students.
- Contribute to the development of new courses/programs.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Conduct scientific research that serve the community.
|
|
Required Skills
|
- Ph.D. in Mathematics from an accredited and internationally recognized university.
- University teaching experience of at least 2 years.
- Teaching experience in courses related to Mathematics for Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- A strong publication record on ML/AI-related topics in peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed journals
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning in both traditional and online learning environments.
- Experience in undergraduate, graduate students' supervision.
- Experience in credit hour system.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
