Job Purpose

A. Professor or Associate Professor of Community Medicine/ Public Health
- At Family & Community Medicine & Behavioral Sciences Department at the College of Medicine to teach Community Medicine for medical students within an integrated, Problem based curriculum.
Prospective applicants work experience :
- At least 3 years teaching experience in medical colleges.
- Experience in Problem Based Learning is highly desirable.
- Excellent research / publication records.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Teach Community Medicine subjects to medical and health sciences students
- Evaluate student's learning using various methods of assessments including MCQ, SAQ, portfolios, assignments..etc
- Compiles, administers, and grades examinations
- Advise students on academic and vocational matters
- Active participation in departmental assignments and student activities
- Actively participate in community Health program activities
- Actively involved in research program including writing proposals and research papers.
- Serve on department, faculty and university committees as appointed or elected

- An outstanding record of academic performance, and demonstrated expertise in community medicine/ public health are encouraged to apply.
- Outstanding/ demonstrated ability in teaching community medicine/ public health subjects and its application.
- Strong teaching skills in one or more subject within the prescribed curriculum and experience or evidence of potential.
- Excellent research / publication records.
- Experience in preparing and / implementing computer-assisted delivery of course contents.
- Interest in medical education.
- Desire for self-improvement.
- Sincere interest in assisting each student within a diverse and multi-cultural community to maximize their academic, spiritual and personal potential.
- Team player that is motivated to strengthen and advance the department.
