Job Purpose
|
As part of the Enrollment Management & Academic Guidance (EMAG)
Unit, this position provides designs and layout various university printing
requirements and marketing collaterals. This position is responsible for the
designs and layout EMAG reports, brochures, and other support materials, to
commercial standards. The designer also provides graphic design development and
conversion to non-traditional marketing-delivery methods, including web-based
marketing, and multimedia

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Design various university marketing collateral and printing material such as University and college specific catalog , brochures and gift items.
- Develop multiple concepts for projects and works with the marketing specialist to develop creative and effective marketing campaigns.
- Lay out text and graphics into finalized page design
- Recommend and prepares specifications for requests for printing quotations
- Prepare files for printing
- Maintain archived project files
- Satisfy appropriate requests for approved external graphic-design support
- Order graphics software and images as required for department
- Utilize graphics and creates original graphics
- Prepare specifications for requests for post-printings
- Other duties assigned by the supervisor
- Responsible for other related duties/projects as determined by the EMAG director.

Required Skills

Desirable Requirements
|
- Bachelor degree, or higher vocational qualification, in Graphic Design or related discipline, with an emphasis on illustration and the design of print-based materials.
- Qualifications/training in Illustration is needed
- Qualifications/training in web-based or multimedia graphic design would be an advantage
