Job Purpose

Planning and managing the instructional resources, technology solutions, and support services to meet the academic computing services objectives

Main accountabilities & expectations

Advise the Head of Academic Computing Services and participates as a resource in academic planning.

 plans for workshops, training sessions and develop manuals, and guidelines on the use of appropriate learning technologies.

 Explore the potential of new technologies to improve teaching and learning.

 Use a periodical, ongoing process to review and evaluate the goals, methods, and resources of instructional programs and makes modifications as needed.

 Manage the instructional technology systems and its functional enhancements and integration to cater the needs of the learning environment.

 Assist in the development of policies and procedures and ensure their implementation and enforcement.

 Assist in implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans for the concerned systems

Required Skills
Preferred Qualification & Experience

B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent

 At least four years of relevant technical experience.

Job Location

Extensive knowledge and use of Databases and Web Application Servers in three-tier architectures based on Oracle/Microsoft products.

 Professional experience in Computer Based Learning and Instructional Technologies

 Experience in Administration of Learning Management Systems & Technologies

 Experience in conducting training programs

 Excellent conceptual and analytical problem-solving abilities and solid written and verbal communication skills.
