Job Purpose
|
As an Under-Graduate Student Recruitment Officer, you are expected to promote and recruit students to the University of Sharjah, by participating in external higher education fairs and events (physically or online) in order to attract prospective under-graduate students.
|
|
Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Meet with counselors, parents and prospective students and provide frontline information and advice regarding the University of Sharjah’s programs, as well as provide information by telephone, correspondence, e-mail, and online sessions.
- Participate in classroom visitation and other special events (physically or online), such as open Days in schools or at UOS, in order to explain the programs to potential students.
- Organize awareness sessions of new under-graduate specializations and programs introduced by the university (physically or online).
- Participate in on-campus UOS visitation program (physically or online) by giving information and Presentations, leading to campus tours, and assisting with recruitment and yield events (i.e. Open Days, special gathering for potential under-graduate students, etc.)
- Provide assistance and guidance to new students with their enrollment process.
- Assist the MSR team members in implementation of special under-graduate student recruitment and marketing projects.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing special events, as well as assist Colleges regarding requirements related to students attending special events.

Required Skills
|
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional documents, in both Arabic and English.
- Excellent working knowledge of personal computer applications with an emphasis on MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed organizational and presentation skills.

Desirable Requirements
|
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, MIS, or a relevant discipline.
- 2-4 years of UAE experience in similar role preferably in higher education institutions.
