The Research Institute for Medical and Health Sciences (RIMHS) at the
University of Sharjah is seeking a motivated and ambitious Postdoctoral
Scientist with strong experience in stem cell research to join the Stem Cell
Research Group. The successful candidate will plan and execute high-quality
research aligned with the theme “Stem
‑
cell and tissue regeneration
”.
Required expertise includes maintenance and directed
differentiation of human stem cells, organoid/3D culture development, and
functional assays. Molecular and cell biology techniques (phenotypic screening,
Western blot, immunofluorescence, RT
‑
qPCR, cell cycle and apoptosis assays), RNAi/siRNA for
knock
‑
out/knock
‑
down, and proficiency
with cytometry and imaging (multicolor flow cytometry, confocal/live
‑
cell microscopy).
Licensed experience in small
‑
animal handling and in vivo experimentation (e.g.,
transplantation/engraftment models) is a plus. Experience in computational
analysis of biomedical and multi
‑
omics data relevant to stem cell systems (whole
‑
genome/exome
sequencing, epigenomics, transcriptomics including single
‑
cell, proteomics,
metabolomics) and familiarity with NGS bioinformatics tools supporting
precision/regenerative medicine are encouraged; experience in clinical or
translational research is desirable.
