1. Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the university's mission, vision, and goals.
2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences, trends, and opportunities.
3. Oversee the development and management of the university's brand identity.
4. Coordinate content development, edits, and updates for the university’s website and portals to ensure the best user experience for various audiences, including prospective and current students, faculty and staff, researchers, peer institutions, and the public.
5. Keep up to date with UOS’s research activities and academic programs, as well as faculty and student accomplishments and services in order to promote and build the university’s reputation with the internal and external community.
6. Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to attract and retain students, faculty, staff, and sponsors.
7. Create compelling content, such as newsletters, brochures, email and social media campaigns/posts, and other public written communications in collaboration with the concerned stakeholders.
8. Oversee the planning and implementation of marketing and promotional outreach strategies designed to promote the University of Sharjah’s programs, faculty, students, and services to target and develop new audiences.
9. Serve as a resource for faculty and staff regarding the most effective communication and promotion techniques to reach the target audience and achieve desired goals.
10. Manage the hiring process for the department, including request to recruit, selection, and interview process in order to ensure the best and most suitable candidates are selected for the available vacancies.
11. Keep up-to-date with the latest marketing trends, technologies, and best practices in order to improve the university’s presence and implement any required administrative, technical, or functional enhancements. As well as proactively seek out opportunities to build capability and identify where developing know-how can drive improved business outcomes.
12. Provide input to enhance and oversee the implementation of the department’s procedures to ensure adherence to UOS’s regulations.
