Job Purpose
|
The Department of Mass Communication at the
College of Communication, University of Sharjah, UAE, invites applications for
the position of Assistant/Associate Professor in Communication for the English
Program. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and accomplished scholar with
a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service. The successful
candidate will join our vibrant and diverse department, contributing to the
academic and professional growth of our students.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Be an active researcher with a proven record of high-quality publications in Scopus-indexed Journals, focusing on communication studies
- Be capable of teaching courses in Media and Communication field, using innovative and creative teaching methods.
- Make significant contributions to the department's academic activities and community services.
- Efficiently handle advising tasks.
- Preferably bilingual (Arabic and English).

Required Skills
|
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
- Evidence of successful teaching, advising, and service effectiveness.
- A record of professional integrity, collegiality, and a commitment to diversity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative engagement within the department and university, as well as building connections with national/international professionals, businesses, and alumni.
