1. Supervise, maintain, and prepare the multimedia labs (macOS and Windows operating systems), implementing preventative maintenance, to ensure optimal functionality and readiness for use on a daily basis.
2. Install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain software/hardware (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, audio equipment) and other lab devices each semester and/or as needed, managing software deployments, and ensuring compliance with license agreements and copyright legislation.
3. Analyze and recommend hardware and software needs for the labs, conducting research and preparing detailed specifications reports to facilitate the procurement of suitable and functional lab requirements, while staying up to date with industry trends.
4. Contribute to the strategic development of the IT lab's annual plan to enhance existing and future laboratory facilities, equipment, and supplies.
5. Maintain and update laboratory inventory by tracking available laboratory equipment and consumables, utilizing inventory management software when applicable, and submitting necessary reports and required specifications to the concerned person(s).
6. Provide comprehensive technical support to students and instructors, assisting with lab hardware/software peripherals usage, multimedia production, digital content creation, and the use of mixed lab facilities and devices.
7. Design digital interactive projects for college events, such as interactive media and smartphone apps, offering creative technical solutions for file associations and video formats.
8. Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in the market in order to improve the university’s presence and implement any required administrative, technical, or functional enhancements. As well as proactively seek out opportunities to build capability and identify where developing know-how can drive improved business outcomes.
