Main accountabilities & expectations
|
The desired candidate will be working on a major project related to iron metabolism in estrogen-responsive cancers. In vivo and in vitro cellular and molecular approaches will be used to characterize the role of estrogen in iron metabolism in cancer cells. The identification of unique molecular signatures that may associate with iron metabolism in iron-overloaded cancers is part of this project as well.
He/she will also be involved in the training and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, the supervision of a lab technician, the preparation of manuscripts and research proposals, the preparation of conference abstracts, posters and presentations, and other such activities.
