Job Purpose
|
The Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering Program at the University of Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, invites applications for multiple full-time faculty positions at the level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor commencing September 2021.
Outstanding candidates from all research areas will be considered, however preference will be given to the following areas:
- Design of Energy Systems
- Sustainable Transportation and Electric Vehicles
- Sustainability

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
The successful candidate is expected to teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate level a range of core and elective courses that fit in the "Energy" area of education, contribute to the growth of the SREE Department, participate in the services rendered by the department, and engage in high quality research related specifically to renewable and sustainable energy.

Desirable Requirements
|
Applicants are
required to have a Ph.D. degree in an Engineering discipline related to
Sustainable and Renewable Energy from a reputable institution, demonstrate a
solid research record, and be capable of teaching courses in their areas of
expertise in addition to core courses in Sustainable and Renewable Energy
Engineering. Experience of supervising Master and PhD research projects. Teaching
experience in a western university is a plus
