Job Purpose
|
Lecturer at the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences is sought to teach laboratory sections in
Human Anatomy and Physiology, Molecular Genetics, Histology, Histopathological Techniques,
Biochemistry, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis & Body Fluids

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
The candidate will teach laboratory sections in Human Anatomy and Physiology, Molecular Genetics,
Histology, Histopathological Techniques, Biochemistry, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis & Body Fluids.
The main duties of the candidate are as follows:
• Develop, update and teach lab sessions in Medical Laboratory Sciences with special emphasis on
Human Anatomy and Physiology, Molecular Genetics, Histology, Histopathological Techniques,
Biochemistry, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis & Body Fluids Teach introductory courses such as
Biology and Human anatomy and Physiology, whenever there is a need.
• Mentor and supervise undergraduate students during their research project
• Contribute to administrative tasks at the department, college, and university levels as required by
his/her superiors.

Desirable Requirements
|
• The candidate should have a BSc and MSc in medical lab sciences or a closely related field.
• Significant teaching and laboratory experience in Human Anatomy and Physiology, Molecular
Genetics, Histology, Histopathological Techniques, Biochemistry, Clinical Chemistry,
Urinalysis & Body Fluids.
• Professional certification/license provided by international recognized organizations in the
above-mentioned fields will be a plus (e.g. ASCP)
• Previous clinical lab experience is a plus.
• Fluency in English at the general and professional levels is essential
