Job Purpose
|
As a Nurse, you are expected to provide a range of supportive duties to the dental team in delivering the highest standards of dental care to all patients by assisting dentists in carrying out oral-care procedures on patients, such as check-ups, fillings, tooth removal, etc.

|
Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Measure the patient’s Blood Pressure, height, weight, and blood sugar when required, and ensure that the patient’s information and results are entered in the patient’s records accurately.
- Ensure that all materials and instruments are available and ready for use or dispensing, which includes inventory of dental materials and instruments, and requisition of materials and instruments needed in the clinic.
- Assist faculty, students, and interns during different dental procedures, provide chairside assistance, and assist with digital radiograph processing.
- Collect, clean, disinfect, oil, pouch, and autoclave instruments used after any procedure and ensure the required records and documentation of instrument sterilization are completed using different indicators.
- Assist with administrative support duties including greeting and checking in patients, collecting dental and medical history, checking and monitoring attendance for students and interns in the clinic, participating in the clearance process for graduating students, etc.
- Ensure the availability of first aid and emergency medications and equipment, as well as any other required medical supplies and materials, and inform the Team Leader about low supplies.

Required Skills
|
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional documents, in both Arabic and English.
- Excellent working knowledge of personal computer applications with an emphasis on MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to perform 1st aid and basic life support when needed.
- Fully aware of the clinical requirements and protocols.

Desirable Requirements
|
- Educational background in Nursing or relevant Nursing degree.
