1. Provide daily technical support to faculty, staff, and students, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network issues. Maintain documentation of recurring technical issues and solutions.
2. Update and maintain virtual labs to ensure accessibility and proper functionality. Manage student and faculty access to VMware, and troubleshoot any access-related issues.
3. Collaborate with lab engineers to allocate and set up labs for high school visits and academic events.
4. Track and update software licenses to ensure compliance. Follow up on software purchases and renewals with procurement and finance departments.
5. Coordinate between college departments and labs to optimize the use of laboratory resources and software, facilitating communication and ensuring that software needs are understood and addressed effectively.
6. Ensure the accurate installation and proper operation of all lab software across all relevant engineering laboratories, adhering to best practices and vendor recommendations.
7. Serve as the custodian of all lab software, including overseeing the installation, configuration, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintenance processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and copyright legislation for all engineering lab software.
8. Maintain and update the laboratory software inventory by identifying software needs, requesting software and licenses according to specifications and budgetary constraints, and tracking license usage.
9. Regularly update and maintain the college website, ensuring content accuracy. Coordinate with college departments to implement website changes and improvements.
10.Actively participate in college and university-level committees, providing technical insights and recommendations.
