Job Purpose
|
The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) is seeking to hire a Post Doctorate researcher to work in the Smart Sustainable Cities (S2C) Research Group. Applicants should have good experience in developing programs and applications in the areas of artificial intelligence and data analytics applied to digital health, smart mobility and transportation systems and smart urban design.
Familiarity with hardware implementation of algorithms on IoT devices and embedded systems is a plus. Candidates should have the ability to lead projects, write grants and prepare manuscripts, and deliver presentations.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Conduct research in the areas of artificial intelligence and data analytics (Software and Hardware)
- Writing grants and manuscripts
- Mentoring students and research assistants
- Placing orders and managing lab equipment
- Preparing presentations for visitors and events
- Supporting events and S2C activities
|
|
Required Skills
|
- Familiarity with hardware implementation of algorithms on IoT devices and embedded systems is a plus
- Familiarity with BIM-Digital Twins, Smart Architectural + Urban Design related software/platforms: Revit/CAD, IES-VE, ENVI-Met, ANSYS, CFD analysis platform(s), is a plus
- Statistical analysis and optimization package knowledge.

Desirable Requirements
|

Educational background in a related discipline e.g. Computer science, Electronic and Electrical
engineering, Information technology Engineering, or other relevant
specializations with a computing element.
- Python and C++ coding/programing are a “must"
- Artificial Intelligence and data analysis experience.
- Professional qualifications in software development with C++ or Python are required
- Evidence of publishing in high quality impactful journal papers
