​The SSCCR is seeking a qualified Researcher specializing in AI application of SSCCR, and advanced programming skills with knowledge of GIS tools will be good. Candidates should possess a BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Matlab, and have extensive experience with artificial intelligence and its practical applications. Strong research and analytical skills, evidenced by publications and presentations, are essential, as is fluency in both Arabic and English. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the center's current projects addressing national climate resilience challenges, including developing machine learning models, enhancing urban flood resilience, optimizing evacuation strategies, and advancing real-time forecasting systems for extreme rainfall events. Additionally, the role involves collaboration with international partners and contributing to pioneering climate-related research that impacts both local and global communities.  

• Develop machine learning models for SSCCR direction, including designing algorithms for climate data analysis, integrating real-time sensor inputs, and training predictive models to forecast extreme weather events. 

• Responsibilities also involve evaluating model performance, refining approaches based on new research, and ensuring outputs support urban flood resilience, evacuation planning, and climate adaptation strategies ​

• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and international partners will be essential to maximize the impact of these models on both national and global climate resilience initiatives. ​​
