​To design, develop, and maintain business intelligence (BI) solutions that support data-driven decision-making at the University of Sharjah. The BI Specialist will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets, creating dashboards and reports, and ensuring data accuracy and availability for stakeholders across academic and administrative units.​

• Engage with academic and administrative stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business intelligence requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.​
  
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, standard reports, and data visualizations using approved BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
• Develop and maintain enterprise data models, semantic layers, data warehouses, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines from multiple source systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and timeliness across all BI platforms and reporting outputs.
• Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, risks, and actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Define, implement, and maintain KPIs and performance metrics for academic and administrative units, delivering regular and ad‑hoc reports to senior management.
• Optimize and standardized BI solutions, queries, and data processes to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Provide end‑user training, documentation, and ongoing support to promote effective adoption and utilization of BI dashboards and reports.
• Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks, security controls, privacy regulations, and organizational standards.
• Continuously evaluate emerging BI, analytics, and data visualization technologies and recommend enhancements to improve enterprise reporting capabilities.​

• Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  
• Experience with SQL, data warehousing, and database management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in BI tools and advanced Excel reporting.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and database technologies, Banner SIS Database and API integrations.
• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to prepare professional reports and presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver projects under strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.​

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field​

• 3–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting roles

• Proven experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and SQL-based data analysis​
