Job Purpose
|
To help develop and implement effective and innovative marketing and communication strategies for the Center for the Continuing Education and Professional Development (CCEP) at the University of Sharjah to enhance its visibility, attract target audiences, and achieve its program objectives.

|
Main accountabilities & expectations
|
- Review and understand all relevant marketing and branding policies and procedures in order to be able to carry out daily work tasks as accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct market research and compile the required data to carry out segmentation analysis, determine the target market and the different customer groups. Conduct additional analysis to develop a profound understanding of customers’ needs, preferences, and behavior.
- Assist the Director in developing the CCEP’s brand positioning strategy which defines the brand’s unique value proposition and drives brand consistency. Ensure that all marketing strategies align with UOS’s brand’s voice, tone, and visual identity.
- Assist the Director in developing and implementing marketing plans and campaigns for the CCEP’s programs, initiatives, events in line with the brand strategy, the operational plan and objectives.
- Design and implement digital marketing campaigns which include search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Produce engaging digital content for the website, blogs, social media platforms, and other online marketing channels. Manage CCEP’s social media platforms to assess engagement and followers’ growth.
- Design, write, and oversee the production of printed promotional materials including catalogs, brochures, flyers, and program and media guides.
- Assist the Director in evaluating and reviewing the marketing strategies’ impact and digital marketing metrics. Identify the required actions to enhance the effectiveness of the marketing strategies and RoI.
- Research market opportunities, industry developments, consumer trends and preferences, and competition practices. Present recommendations to the Director to assess impact on CCEP’s programs and services.
- Assist the Director in developing and implementing customer engagement and communication plans to keep them informed on CCEP’s activities and updates as well as obtain the required customer data and updates. This may include: personal visits, digital and printed communication.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in the marketing landscape. Identify how technology can be leveraged to create more effective marketing strategies.
- Laise with the relevant departments in UoS (Public Relations, Media Center, Community Cooperation Center) to align UoS’s branding standards and guidelines, marketing practices, consolidate efforts, enable collaboration and access the available services, resources and data.
- Respond to requests from the media, external organizations and government departments for information on CCEP’s programs and events.
- Assist in developing the marketing budget and monitoring expenditure. Ensure the cost-effective use of available resources at UoS.

Required Skills
|
- Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional documents, in both Arabic and English.
- Good working knowledge of personal computer applications with an emphasis on MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Teams.
- A good understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms like Google Ads, Mailchimp, and Hootsuite.
- Good data analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Basic knowledge in: Marketing Strategy, Brand Development, Digital Marketing, and Content Marketing.
- Basic knowledge of SEO best practices, including keyword research, content optimization, and link building.
- Ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns.
- Ability to analyze customer feedback using Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.

Desirable Requirements
|
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a relevant discipline.
- 2-4 years of UAE experience in a similar role preferably in higher education institutions or Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing.
- Priority is to UAE Nationals.
