Job Purpose
|
The Department of Foreign Languages at the University of Sharjah invites
applications for a full-time Lecturer of English (language and writing), 3
Positions. They should have a MA in English Linguistics or Literature (PhD
would be an advantage). Experience teaching English for Academic Purposes would
be an advantage but is not essential. The position would be ideal for a recent PhD
graduate looking to gain teaching experience.

Main accountabilities & expectations
|
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English (spoken and written) courses at Undergraduate level. She/he will fulfil such administrative duties as the department chair or other university authorities appoint to them.

Required Skills
|
The successful candidate should specialize in one or more of the following areas: English for Academic Purposes, Writing and Rhetoric, Creative Writing.
